“I always expected I would become an Internal Medicine specialist given my background in high blood pressure studies. My first exposure to Dermatology was in my second year of medical school. I was immediately hooked. I was, and still am, fascinated by the ability to visualize the disease through pattern recognition. The scope of disease in the skin is so extensive – including inflammation, cancer, autoimmune conditions to name a few. Every day I am challenged by a few unique cases which remind me of the complexity of the skin. I love my specialty and cannot imagine practicing any other kind of medicine.”
